 FOOTBALL
Micheál MacCraith were unluckily beaten by Bonmahon in the opening round of the Intermediate Championship, played in Walsh Park on Saturday evening. Tramore lead 1-5 to 0-7 at half time, but were terribly unlucky not to score two further goals during the half. Our failure to score for the first 16 minutes after the interval proved costly, as Bonmahon scored 5 unanswered points. Then Martin Whelan scored 2 wonder points and after Niall Kennedy scored a goal, we led by 2 points with 4 minutes remaining, but we could not close out the game, and a converted injury time free gave Bonmahon a fortuitous win. This was a good display against a top team, and should stand to the lads for their next game, against Kilmacthomas, in Walsh Park, on Saturday, at 5pm. The panel was Tom McGrath, Warren Vereker, Ciárán O'Connor, James Murtagh, (Captain), Evan Connor, William Cullinane, Matthew Thompson, (0-1), Martin Whelan, (0-2), Sam Lenihan, Lee Quilty, (0-2), Michael Hayes, Seán Martin, Jamie Hunt, (1-0), Niall Kennedy, (1-3), Shane Rellis, Dylan Bolster, Lorcan Lynch, Andrew Power, Pádraig Woods, Caleb Cowman, Diarmuid Kelly, Alan Curran, John Clancy, Sam Sheppard and Alan Murphy-Farrell.  Our Minors play St Mary's in Kill on Tuesday at 7pm, and our Juniors play Kill in Tramore in the first round of the Championship, on Friday, at 6.45pm.

Under 16 Football
Our Under 16 footballers had a great win Sunday morning in tough conditions when they beat Ballinacourthy on a scoreline of 4-3 to 0-14. Down 5 points at half time we clawed our way back in to the game and scored the winning point in injury time. In that last crucial 10 mins we were down to 14 men due to a number of injuries. Star of the show was Joe Barry who scored 4 goals in a real MOM performance, his last goal in particular was out of the top drawer. All the lads gave 100% and played some great football against a very good Ballinacourthy team, well done lads.

Under 14 Football
Our U14 football team played Saturday evening and came out the the wrong side of the result, Ballinacourthy 2-9 to Tramore 2-2. The lads didn’t play well first half but played very well 2nd half and could of been a lot closer if they had taken all their chances. A number of under age players gave us a big dig out today because of confirmations in the town so a big thanks to these younger players who battled to the end.

Under 8 Hurling
Well done to the u8 players from Ballyduff, Na Gael and Tramore who treated us to a really enjoyable hurling blitz on Saturday morning. Great performances by all.
