Thanks to SuperValu, for their continued generous sponsorship of our Club.

 FOOTBALL
Micheál MacCraith were defeated by Newtown in the third round of the Intermediate Football Championship, played in Kill on Saturday evening. This was a tight match throughout, with defences generally on top. In an error strewn first half, we led 0-4 to 0-1 after 20 minutes, but lost our concentration for a time, and were 1-4 to 0-4 down at the interval. The standard of football increased greatly in the second half, with every ball keenly contested and scores hard to come by. Newtown's greater experience was a big factor in their narrow but deserved win. Tramore put in a good team display, that augers well for the remaining Championship games. The line out was Tommy McGrath, Jason Wilmott, James Murtagh, Caleb Cowman, Lorcan Lynch, Dylan Bolster, Mark Hayes, Sam Lenihan, Michael Hayes, Pádraig Woods, Lee Quilty, (0-1), Andrew Power, (0-2), Seán Martin, Niall Kennedy, (0-5) and David Hayes. Bonmahon drew with Kilmacthomas in the earlier game, which shows again, that this Tramore team, with a full complement of players, can be a match for any team in the Division. There is a lot of football to be played in this Championship yet.
>>> Our Juniors played well against last years County finalists, Naomh Pól, in Lisduggan on Friday evening, losing out on a 4-9 to 2-6 scoreline. The line out was Leon O'Brien, Jason Baldwin, Eric Power, Jack Jacob, Ben Richards, Richie Murphy, Eoin O'Grady, Jack Cashman, Craig Burke, Dean Shanahan, Gary Dunphy, Gary Whelan, David Acheson, Joshua Malone and Paudie Bradley. Our Minors had a great win over Portlaw/Ballduff in the Championship game played in Ballyduff last Tuesday, winning 3-7 to 2-3. They play their final group game in Tramore, this Tuesday 1 May, at 6.45pm. Come along and support the lads in this important match.
